I remember the reenactor on the far right from two years ago, him in his Waffen SS uniform, his wife as a nurse, his daughter as a Hitler Youth.

Can just imagine the three of them waltzing into IHOP the morning of the show, the family that eats together and dresses as WWII Germans stays together............

Reenactors have a ruff life alright, more than likely if he was packing his weapons, he got to eat free.

Talking about eating, one of the dealers brought free brunch for those that did not go to Ihop for breakfast. Yum, yum good.

A stash of clandestine uniforms was discovered by the undertaker in charge of Homeland Security. He was going to confiscate the entire lot when the owner showed up and suggested he was at the wrong show.

If I didn't know better, it looks like Shiloh is bringing a friend up from the south to reconnoiter the show.

A great painting. It appears to be an officer and NCO looking over the ground they are to move across or enemy were sighted in the other wood line. Note: the Sgt is carrying all his personal effects. So not in defensive mode and not yet in an attacking posture. If either of these 2 were occuring he would have been striped down to the bare necessary equipment. They appear to be veterans on the march as you will notice they hunkered down to lessen their silohouettes in case there are enemies in the area . The Sgt appears to be studying the field earnestly while the officer is turned as if to watch the rest of his troops arrive having lowered his binoculars. Only small flaw I see is the Sgts pipe, chances are it would have been a corn cob pipe as was very common to southern soldiers but then again it may have been his prized possesion. A Keith Rocco it appears.

Welcome back to the forum with a very nice running commentary of the picture. Your talents are rare indeed. We have had some interesting threads lately but everyone has been strangely silent on the Civil War front except for Warrior. He put together some interesting dialog and pictures. Maybe, with some effort, I can round up some southern hospitality for you to communicate with.

Pinky comes up with a few figures that may have been of some interest to you. It is unfortunate that his expertise relating to toy soldiers does not extend past his picture taking abilities. I will make it a point to have littleman post some civil war related figures for you to comment on if your up to the task. In the meantime I'll work on some subject matter on the southern theme of the war. All the major manufactures have to have been adding to their civil war releases. How about posting a few of your favorites.
Enough of a good thing, keep checking in on us, the world is full of surprises.
