It is amazing what would be considered good fun in the 40's, to be so incredibly politically incorrect today....Michael

Your absolutely correct. We could also have a heated discussion as to what is acceptable for todays standards. Everyone is very critical of their own turf, don't step over that line and keep everything constitutional. I have had to be careful about some of my humor, it is very outdated.
Here is an example. A patient is talking to his doctor. The doctor says that I have good news and bad news, which do you want first. The patient says give me the good news first. The doctor says, your going to die in two days. The patient says that does not sound very good to me, give me the bad news. The doctor says, we have been looking for you for two days. Why do you think that this is not an acceptable piece of humor? |

The big three as far a cartoons are considered at the time. This must have given a lot of confidence to the general public as to who was fighting the war. These figures do not give the impression that we are up to the task of wrestling the world from the superman of Germany.

The next episodes will be the artwork of a GI as he follows the routine of his life in an artillery detachment in 1943. I will follow along and you can determine for yourself what is happening as an artist makes his mark.
