How I hate that word "Downsizing". How about substituting the words 'cleaning out a few pcs from the closet'. How about one of the members coming up with a better idea? Something that does not include that nasty word.

Hi Probuilder,

I have heard the word "thinning" used to describe the process of reducing the size of one's collection. Perhaps the word, "thinning," will not foster the same emotions as the word, "Downsizing."

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

I like that word better. That is what I do to my bushes outside every spring. Thinning and they seem to survive the process.

I resettle portions of my collection. Relocate them from their current home to a dark closet or give them away to a deserving soul far away.

I have a deserving soul (kinda) and live far away. What else do I need to have? What about a completely empty closet or a work shed outside for extra duty.

Not a work shed outside - my surplus troops are honored vets , deserving of respect, not homeless bums

Does anyone else have some WWI items to post on Leadmans thread? There has to be a ton of figures produced over the years.

To have resettled any part of my hobby could be rightly classified as unsettling, horrid or downright unprofessional but necessary at times to keep the inventory in check.
That brings me to the request made by Marc T. After completing my postings of the the story of the JU Junkers, I was under the assumption that my forum duties were over. Although I do have a few World War One soldiers that Leadman and others may appreciate reviewing. Unfortunately they are part of my resettled inventory. So I'll make an effort to retrieve them and post a few for old times sake.
